People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray.
— Proverbs 10:17
Thoughts on today’s verse
Discipline is not only important to us, but also to those who are influenced by our actions. So often we undervalue the impact of our personal decisions on others. But God has placed each of us in a circle of influence to be a blessing and a redemptive influence on those around us. To choose what is foolish, to ignore godly correction, not only jeopardizes our own future, but also the future of others.

Prayer
Father, humble and correct me gently. I know I am weak and not where I want to be spiritually. Mature me with your Spirit and correct me with your Word, your shepherds, and your discipline. Make my influence a blessing to those you have placed around me. In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I pray. Amen.

Réflexion sur le verset du jour
La discipline est d’une importance primordiale pour nous mais aussi pour ceux qui sont affectés par nos actions. Très souvent, nous sous-estimons l’impact de nos décisions personnelles sur les autres. Mais Dieu a placé chacun de nous dans un cercle d’influence afin que nous soyons une bénédiction et une source d’influence rédemptrice pour ceux qui nous entourent. Choisir de faire ce qui est stupide et ignorer la correction divine, détruit non seulement notre avenir mais aussi celui des autres.

Prière
Père, je Te prie de me rendre humble et de me corriger avec douceur. Je sais que je suis faible et que je ne suis pas là où je voudrais être spirituellement. Donne-moi la maturité par ton Esprit et corrige-moi à travers ta Parole, tes bergers, et ta discipline. Fais à ce que mon influence soit une bénédiction pour ceux que Tu as mis dans mon entourage. Au Nom Puissant de Jésus Christ de Nazareth, j’ai prié. Amen.

When you’re comfortable not knowing, it will save you so much stress and worry. You need to understand that if you can’t figure it out, it’s because God doesn’t want you to figure it out. You can analyze the situation, try to reason it out, worry for six months, and nothing’s going to change. It’s so much better to say, “I don’t have the answer, but I’m okay because, God, I know You have the answer.”

A holy passion is a passion inflamed by a godly motive. To pursue the knowledge of God to further our understanding of Him and deepen our love and honour  for Him is to embark on a quest that delights Him. Jesus encouraged such a pursuit (John 8:31–32).

What honours God is not just what we do essentially but what  He wants or said we should do that honours Him- Passion that is not according to the word of God is not right in His sight and does not honour HIM e.g  Paul(Saul) when he was persecuting the church.

Things that you will not ordinarily be able to achieve, with the blessing of God on you it will be accomplished.
The key is honouring God with your life. He will direct your steps, lead you to the right place where you should be and everything begins to fall in place for you. He will arrange people and places in advance that will make this happen.
You may wander for so long with your strength but all you need is to allow the Holy Ghost to lead you and you will receive the Grace to do all things.

I had nothing but heartache and trouble
I had nothing but doubts and confusion
But now I have everything
I have everything that I need to be happy
I have Jesus and He is the perfect Way
He has saved me, and He gave me life eternal
He gave me the Grace to overcome everything
He gave me Grace to overcome sin
I now have power to soar like an eagle far higher than any evil

Surely, I have everything
I was making big plans for my future
I had lived all my life in vain
Seeking irrelevant things
Then I prayed for life’s only meaning
And He came into my life to give me the true meaning of life
And now I have everything
